We have over 100 years combined experience of manufacturing the perfect skirting board and architrave. We take pride in the products that we make. We use the best material, best machinery and the best manufacturing processes to ensure we offer our customers the best possible product at the most competitive price.

We specifically source MR (Moisture Resistant) MDF from which we produce all of our products. MR MDF is the highest density MDF. We manufacture all of our mouldings out of High Density MDF board. This produces a far smoother cut surface when moulded, making a superior quality product to other MDF skirting boards. Perfect for our standard skirting boards.

We regularly invest in our machinery to further improve our manufacturing efficiencies. By consistently investing and improving we are now able to supply any of our made to order profiles, manufactured to precise repeatable measurements, twice primed and sanded, anywhere in the country within as little as 2 days.

We are a family run business based in the West Midlands and we have always been a company that works for its customers, as without them we wouldn’t have a business. We understand that choosing the right skirting boards can be difficult and it might be the first and only time you ever have to order it. For this reason, we have clear images showing the profiles on different thickness boards and also offer free samples so you can be confident that you are ordering the right skirting board for you. We also supply matching architrave for all of our skirting board profiles.

Unprimed orders

The process of manufacturing an unprimed skirting board is as follows: strips are cut from large raw boards, these are then profiled to your chosen profile. The board then runs through a single head sander that gets deep into the profiled part of the skirting board to ensure a smooth finish ready for priming.

Primed orders

Following on from the above, the boards then go through a vacuum coater which ensures primer provides a complete coverage, something that hand spraying doesn’t achieve, especially on the popular grooved skirting board and architraves. Once primed the boards are placed on a heated drying rack until dry. Once dry the skirting boards and architraves are then put through a 5 head sander. Two large sanding heads on the top turn in opposite directions to provide a smooth finish, two smaller sanding heads on the sides smooth both edges and finally a profile sander is skillfully adjusted to get right into the most detailed of profiles, creating what we are confident in saying is an unrivalled finish. The boards then get a second application of primer providing a perfectly sanded and primed finish ready for install.

Delivery you can plan around

We have a variety of delivery methods, the majority of our orders are sent out with a courier partner. All orders that we send out with couriers are shrink wrapped and edge protected with reinforced cardboard in packages suitable for a single person to lift. Larger jobs are usually delivered on our own vehicle or with a haulier, these are packed up and banded before being loaded onto a delivery vehicle and sheeted ready to go.
